This is a complete course in biblical eschatology. You will receive the greatest benefit if you follow these simple instructions.
1. Start at the beginning. This course is built around developing a progressive knowledge of the fundamentals of biblical eschatology. Be sure to look over the course outline before you begin. (The course outline is accessible from the tutorial menu.)
2. Download the PDF version of the textbook: What the Bible Says About the Future, by Sam A. Smith. The text is completely FREE. Print a copy of the text and put it into a ring binder for study and reference. The PDF version is the latest and most complete edition of the book, having your own copy to mark and write on will greatly aid your study. You will find that the illustrations are easier to see and refer to in the printed PDF version; also you can print extra copies of the illustrations and take notes directly on those pages. [The PDF file is about 1.6 Mb. If you have a slow connection it may take a while for it to download the 400 pages.]
A softcover edition of What the Bible Says About the Future is available at a nominal cost (see the link on the download page for the book).
3. Download the PDF Study Questions. (Again, see the main tutorial menu for a link.) This document contains almost three hundred thought provoking questions designed to help you understand, correlate, and remember the material in the text. You can select the text in the study questions and copy them into a word processor document if you like.
4. Lookup as many of the references as possible.
5. Complete all recommended reading. Some of the recommended reading material is available free online at this site or external sites. Recommended materials not available on this site will need to be purchased from other sources. In each case a link is provided to a source where you can purchase the material. In some cases used books may also be available—this is often the case with books purchased through Amazon.com. [Biblical Reader Communications is not affiliated with any external booksellers. Links are provided as a courtesy to the reader.]
6. Answer all of the study questions in the Study Questions Guide for each chapter before going to the next chapter. For the most benefit, develop your answers in writing as fully as possible.
7. Don’t rush. Take your time and try to understand each concept as presented before moving on.
8. Enjoy the course! (And if you do, let the author know by writing to the author (Sam A. Smith). Contact information is available from the Biblical Reader main page (www.biblicalreader.com). Your feedback is very important!)
